Business Profile
Gifts and Collectibles for the Heart and Home
The Log Cabin carries a wide variety of items that are truly unique for either yourself or someone special. With new items arriving constantly, the shop stays current with the latest giftware and home and garden trends. Combine this with fast, friendly service and free gift-wrapping, and it is clear why the Log Cabin stands apart and is such a popular place to visit for people of all ages.
The Log Cabin has been family owned and operated since it was established in 1983. It has been expanded over the years with the latest addition being the Log Cabin Art Gallery in 2003. On April 1, 2008, the Log Cabin was sold to another family with the former owners continuing to own and operate the art gallery. In May 2008, the Log Cabin celebrated its 25th anniversary and change of ownership with store-wide savings of 25%, dozens of door prizes, free samples and large prize give-aways.
In 1998, Lazy Loon Restaurant opened inside the building. It is a family restaurant with a log cabin theme, specializing in fish and chips with an extensive menu and forty flavours of ice cream. The Lazy Loon provides fresh, flavorful, simple foods with genuine service, all in a cottage-like atmosphere.
The Quilting Bee has been a welcome addition to the Log Cabin in 2007. It is a full service quilt shop including the best cotton fabric, patterns, books, notions, classes for all levels and now Janome sewing machines. Come in and meet their friendly and knowledgeable staff.
All of the above make the Log Cabin truly one of southern Ontario’s most unique shopping destinations!
